NOTE ON STOPS AND TREKKING SPEED:
I want to point out that our stops varied a bit from the standard trek itinerary at the time because we shifted where we overnighted a bit so that we weren’t hiking in line with organized tours.
The trek could have been shorter, but we chose to take our time. We took the upper route through Manang Valley via Upper Pisang, and we also took our time climbing from Manang to the pass to acclimatize to the elevation. We also crossed Lower Mustang at a very leisurely pace to appreciate the culture and the beautiful villages such as Kagbeni, Mapha, and Tukuche.
