Happy 100th Grandma Mary
Speaking of remote back roads, today would have been the 100th birthday of the queen of the back roads, my grandma Mary. She was the yoda of the travel world and a master of maps. She is also the only grandmother I’ve ever met who would hang her grandchild out over a cliff to get a good picture. I guess that’s why I’m not afraid of heights. We miss grandma Mary!!! The adventures continue in your name.
She is one of the greatest positive influences of my life.
How fortunate I feel to have known her.
Tony, this would have just thrilled my mother and your Grammy. This adventure in her soul was what attracted Grandpa to Grammy in 1931. In fact when Grammy finished high school and started to work she said she saved her whole paycheck in order to buy her father a car and travel they did…just in the Eastern US but that sure satisfied her need just driving to Philadelphia. Thank you and love,
Auntie Linda
What a truly nice compliment to her. She was always so pleased to know where you were going and what country you were visiting….she touched us all in such a positive way. We miss her.
