Originally, I had written it as two separate words but when you type it in as one word "fingerroot" the search results are less confusing. It's funny that the cooking instructor didn't call it Chinese ginger - I guess fingerroot was just more exotic. I did a quick google search and found that fingerroot is also known as Chinese ginger.
