Rajasthan Camel Safari

By Tony on May 28, 2008 | 2 Comments »

Our 3 day camel safari through the Thar desert here in Rajasthan was an adventure, to say the least. Such an adventure that we thought it merited a whole article/pictorial. Aware of the fact that many of our visitors are busy people with actual lives that don’t revolve around every move we make, here is a brief synopsis for those on the run:

Great wildlife and scenery

Cool desert culture

Got caught in a sandstorm

Almost broke my back

Was bitten by a poisonous animal

Had a great time riding the camels

For those of you with a little extra time on your hands, here is the extended version with pictures.

Great article, Tony! Although, it is not your first camel ride, at least you didn’t lose the camel this time. Another great adventure and I am really having a good time being able to enjoy it [this time] as you travel. Dad
